Well done, Kids! I love this poster with your positive messages to the English Language and the English classroom. And your British flags are also well decorated. I hope you enjoy the English lessons and you work hard too, this year! I always enjoy teaching English and it´s a pleasure to start with great energy  and with these possitive messages.

                               

"SURFING ON THE BEACH" PLAY. Year 3

Hi, 3rd graders!, Here is a video with the great summer play Adrian, Isabel and Abril, from class 3A have performed for all of us the last day of the school year. This play includes words and grammar we have studied in the last unit "On holiday" and our own version of the song "summer is fun" from English Time Songs. It was a pleasure to see you. Good actors, good singers and good English. happy summer holidays!

JOHN LENNON-IMAGINE (Pablo Stanley)

We are lucky! Next Thursday, 16th June, Albacete Band of Music is coming to our school. They are going to play different melodies in the playground to all of us. And one of the songs they are going to play is the popular "imagine".
"IMAGINE" is a song written and performed by the English musician John Lennon. The best-selling single of his solo career. Its lyrics encourage the listener to imagine a world with peace, without the divisions of religion and nationality, and to consider the possibility of living a life unattached to material possessions.  

 

There are lots of videos with this song in you tube. But I like this one with a very interesting comic made by Pablo Stanley. I think it´s also very useful for teaching its lyrics and its meaning. The second video is a white board animation of the same comic and song. I hope you like them and try to memorize the lyrics (at least the chorus). We´ll be singing this song in the classroom along this week to make it easier.

HOW TO BE ECOFRIENDLY on photopeach

Every June 5th is a day used by the United Nations to stimulate worlwide awareness of enviromental issues. It is called World Enviromental DAy and it began in 1972. It is a similar celebration to Earth Day which is held every April 22nd. Most of the activities for Earth Day in this blog are suitable for World Enviromental Day too. 
But, what can you do to help your planet? Here´s my photopeach with some green tips. I hope you follow them.

Being green is very easy. Even a dog can do it. This funny video is  a good resource to review  some eco-friendly tips we have seen in our english lessons these days.

Recycling is another way to take care of our planet. And here is the rap my pupils sing every 5th of June to commemorate The World Enviromental Day. It´s a very short rap with easy lyrics to be remembered.
